Upper Racehorse Falls, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Washington, US

Scenery:4 out of 5 stars (4.0 / 5)
Difficulty:4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

Remote Racehorse Falls, at the end of a short but challenging unmarked hike, packs a lot of geological punch over the course of its four-stepped 139-foot fall. The two higher sections of the falls sport small punchbowls at their respective bases, while the third forms a fast-moving horsetail of water before finally spreading out wide over a bedrock ledge and terminating in two separate pools.
